Events
The GB Rowing Team is the high performance arm of British Rowing. Rowing is the nation’s most continuously successful Olympic sport, having won a gold medal in every Olympic Games since 1984, and has won six Paralympic golds since the sport was introduced to the Paralympic Games programme in 2008.

Edinburgh University student Josh Armstrong made his debut with the GB Rowing Team senior squad came at the 2017 World Cup event in Poznan after several years of success in the junior and U23 ranks.
Armstrong has an enviable record of international success. He first appeared on the international circuit in 2014, when he raced in the men’s single sculls at the GB vs. France match.
He was selected to represent Great Britain at the World Rowing Junior Championships in both 2015 and 2016. At the 2015 event in Rio de Janeiro he was part of the men’s quad crew that won an historic gold medal; he raced in the same boat the following year, finishing eleventh.
Armstrong made the final of the single sculls at the GB Rowing Team Senior and U23 Trials at the age of 19 and was selected to row in the single at World Cup II in Poznan. There, he won his repechage and raced to fifth in the B final.
Later in 2017 he raced to seventh in the single scull at the World Rowing U23 Championships in Plovdiv.
