The February / March edition of Rowing & Regatta magazine is out and focuses on the upcoming season and how clubs are protecting their environment. Different clubs around the country share their top tips for being greener and conservation friendly.

The Women’s Head of the River is celebrating its 80th race this year – Pauline Rayner first competed in the event in 1954 and shares her memories of the race and the sport down the decades.

We also catch up with GB rowers Imogen Grant and Tom George as they prepare for the GB Rowing Team Olympic trials on 13-15 March. “It’s the Olympic year and that’s really exciting,” says Imogen. “Definitely, it has a different feel to it.”

With the Boat Race on Sunday 29 March, we talk to Oxford’s Felix Drinkall about his third Boat Race and Tricia Smith, in her sixth season for Cambridge.
