London 2 Paris (and return) 2012

In June 2012 the London 2 Paris rowing challenge will take place starting from Big Ben and finishing at the Eiffel Tower.  The event organisers are delighted to announced that the challenge is now open for entries and comprises:

  • 420 nautical miles over 8 days in pilot gig boats
  • Nine timed stages from Big Ben to the Eiffel Tower
  • Six teams of 12 supported by dedicated pilot/support boats
  • A supplied pilot gig with safety equipment and insurance

Over the past 10 years, adventurer Jock Wishart has been organising challenges from London to Paris.

For the 2012 Challenge, Jock has handed the reins to Roger Gould (Atlantic rower in the first Atlantic
Rowing Race, 1997) so that he may devote his full undivided attention to his other
organised challenges such as his Row to the Pole expedition in August 2011.
