Athletes from 16 to senior level have been involved in the J16 Anglo-French Match in Nantes France, the Coupe de la Jeunesse in Hazelwinkel, Belgium, the Home Countries International in Cork Ireland, the Commonwealth Rowing Championships in Ontario, Canada and the World U23 World Championships in Brest, Belarus. “Things are already looking good for 2011”, said Club President Keith Atkinson. “We have plenty of local talent from City and County schools and our reputation is drawing in established rowers from other parts of the country. With twelve miles of river rowing on the Trent and the National Watersports Centre nearby we clearly have the water. Our coaches are nationally recognised for their expertise and professional approach, the Club is well run and with the winter programme starts soon, we can’t wait to get on with it.’ Report from Nottingham Rowing Club
