Tees RC help rugby players keep fit ‘out of season’

Rugby squad take to the water

Tees Rowing Club’s new Burgashell recreational coxed quads were put to good use this summer – by rugby players from Stockton RFC!

Harry Buxton (Hon Sec Stockton RFC) described the ARA iniative to provide a way for other sports to keep fit when they’re not competing as ‘a breath of fresh air from a National Governing Body’.  He said that the players ‘very much enjoyed the experience, particularly using equipment they have not had access to before.’

This project aims to nurture cross sporting links using the recreational boats to make rowing more immediately accessible.

Tees Regatta

Mr Buxton thanked all members of Tees for giving so much of their time and effort in preparing his squad for the Regatta on 9th August.
