Birmingham-based ARA coaches, Stuart Redden and Maddie Millichap, helped Dame Elizabeth Cadbury Technology College run indoor rowing as part of their annual sports day for all students in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10. ADVERT Each of the school’s four houses; Warwick, Ludlow, Tamworth and Kenilworth picked a team of ten for the challenge, with each team taking part in 30 minute relay – the winners determined by the distance recorded. There were some excellent individual performances, extremely close races, brilliant team work and, judging by the noise, a lot of fun was had. The Year 7 relay was the closest race of the day with less than 50metres separating the teams after 30 minutes racing. The race was won by Ludlow with a grand total of 6,573m very closely followed by Tamworth with 6,524m. The Year 8 relay race was won by Tamworth with a massive 6,752m, putting them in the top spot for fastest team of the day, Warwick were second with 6,548m. Thanks must go to the school and staff, particularly Adrian Rackham, for helping to organise and run the event. Madeleine Millichap Community Sports Coach Birmingham ADVERT
